This guide will walk you through enabling a new feature in Kynections Assets M&S module. By tweaking user rights, you can allow specific roles to archive Equipment, expanding access beyond admin users.
1. Click "Options"
To configure which Roles you would like access to Archive Equipment - start by clicking Options.
2. Click "User Rights"
Access the User Rights section.
3. Click "Equipment" to expand section
Click on the Equipment Header to expand the section if it is collapsed.
4. Select the applicable Roles that can Archive Equipment
Within the Equipment section - there is a new option where you can now configure the applicable system roles which will have access to Archive Equipment instead of having this feature restricted to only Admin users. Select the applicable roles to continue.
5. Click here
Now with the Roles configured - proceed to a piece of Equipment. Click on the Tripple dots to continue.
6. Archive Option Available
Now in this example - the current user and their role is a part of the previously configured section - granting them access to the Archive section on Equipment.
7. Click here
Now in this example - lets try doing the same process with a different User Role. Continue by selecting the three dots.
8. No Archive Option Available
Here we can see that the Archive Option is not available due to the current Users Role not being a part of the previous setup.
