This guide provides an overview to the features included for the Maintenance Scheduler. Follow along to understand how these new changes work and what is included as a part of this release.
1. Click "Maintenance"
To begin - click on Maintenance from the Left Menu.
2. Contacts Column has a Fixed width - Long text will wrap
To begin - the Contacts column - being the first column on the Day and Week view of the Maintenance Scheduler has been updated to maintain its size. Alongside to this - the Contacts column will now also split any long Contact names to multiple lines - stoping the Contacts column growing larger than it should and eating into useable space for the Day and Week view for scheduling.
3. Click "Week"
Now to continue the overview of changes - go to the Week View by clicking on the Week Tab above the Legend.
4. Fixed widths on columns and scheduled items
As a part of the current release - the Week View has been updated so that the columns and the scheduled items also have a fixed size. This resolves the issue when the maintenance scheduler starts to get full of jobs allocated throughout the week and when viewing the Week View - the days would be uneven leaving the later days of the week with less realestate to display their applicable information.
5. Day appended to Date in Week View
The Week View also now has the Day of the week appended to the Column Headers. This helps with knowing at a quick glance which Days of the week jobs have been scheduled to and what Days are yet to be scheduled without needing to cross reference a calendar.
6. Click a Job to bring up options
Additionally as a part of this release - we have made changes in both the Day and Week View in how we now keep the job and schedulable items expanded in between refreshes and other interactions. To see this in action - lets start by expanding one of the jobs. Click on a job to continue.
7. Click "Expand Job Details"
From the Options available - select "Expand Job Details".
8. Click to expand a piece of equipment
We can see that the Job that we expanded is currently expanded - displaying the details of what Repair Items have been scheduled as a part of this Maintenance Job. Now lets click on a piece of Equipment on the right hand side to expand and see what repairs are available.
9. Right Click on a Repair Item
With the piece of Equipment expanded - displaying the repair items - right Click on a Repair Item to continue.
10. Click "View Details"
From the options available - select View Details to go from the Maintenance Scheduler and review the Repair item in detail.
11. Click Back after review is complete
After the review of the Repair item is complete - click on the back arrow in the Toolbar to proceed back to the Maintenance Scheduler.
12. Equipment is still expanded
Now that we are back to the Maintenance Scheduler - we can see that both the previously expanded items - the Job and the Equipment still remain expanded when coming back from reviewing the Repair Item.
This guide has covered off the new features around the Maintenance Scheduler - from maintaining sizing of the columns and scheduled items in the Day and Week Views - Day of week being present on the Week view and items remaining expanded throughout use of the Maintenance Scheduler. Thanks for watching.
