Explore the new feature overview in Assets M&S, with Project, Project Site, Region, and Flag filtering now available across the module. This guide will take you through a series of engaging steps to navigate and utilize these enhancements effectively in the Kynection System.
1. Click here for new Baseline Filter
To Start - From the Dashboard - Click on the Filter icon in the toolbar to bring up the new baseline filtering.
2. Baseline Filters - Project + Project Site, Regions and Flags
Here we can see the baseline filter includes Project (if the current user has access to Projects and further to this Project Site), Region (if there are any regions configured) and lastly Flags. Once the filters are set once - for instance in the Dashboard view - the same filters will be applied throughout the Asset M&S module - removing the need to reapply the same filters on every Left Menu item available.
3. Click on Project Filter
To test out the filter in action - click on the Project filter to continue.
4. Select a Project
In this example we will just be doing the Project just for now. Select a Project from the list.
5. Click "Apply Filter"
Click the Apply Filter button to set the filter.
6. Project Allocation removed when Project filter active
When the Project filter is set- we can see that above the Left Menu - the Project name is displayed. On the Dashboard - the Project Allocation chart is removed as this chart displays a count of equipment across each project. Furthermore - any information reflected on the dashboard is only reflecting equipment matching the currently selected project.
7. Click Equipment
Now click on Equipment from the Left Menu to continue.
8. Click the filter
Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
9. Project Site Filter
We can see that the Project Filter is still set. Lets continue by now configuring the Project Site Filter. Click on the Project Site option to continue.
10. Select a Project Site
The list of Project Sites available will be only those from the currently selected Project - instead of displaying all project sites available in the system. Select a Project Site from the list to continue.
11. Click "Apply Filter"
Apply the filter.
12. Equipment further filtered by filters
Now with the Project Site filter set - we can see that the Equipment has been further filtered - now only displaying Equipment matching the Project and Project Site filter. Click on Categories from the left menu to continue.
13. Click filter
In Categories - the Categories listed will be only those who have equipment matching the filters. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
14. Baseline Filters
Categories alongside with Equipment and the Dashboard share the same filters. Click on Regions from the Left Menu to continue.
15. Click Filter
In Regions - similar to Categories - only Regions that have Equipment matching the Active filters will be displayed. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
16. Baseline Filters
Regions alongside the previously mentioned Left Menu items share the same baseline filters. Click on Map from the Left Menu to continue.
17. Click Filter
On the Map - similar to before - the Map is showing only Equipment that are matching the Filters. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
18. Baseline Filters alongside Map specific Filters
On the Map Filter - we can see that it contains the baseline filters - alongside a Map specific filter of Category. Click on Maintenance from the Left Menu to continue.
19. Click Filter
On the Maintenance Scheduler - since the Project filter is Active - the Internal Contacts on the Maintenance Scheduler will be filtered to those who are owners to the filtered Project. Further to this - any scheduled maintenance job in the center or equipment on the right hand side will be filtered by the active filters in place. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
20. Baseline FIlters
As you can see - the Maintenance Scheduler is utilising the Baseline Filters. Click on Expiries from the Left Menu to continue.
21. Click Filter
In Expiries - similar to the other views - the Equipment Expiries present are those that match the filters. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
22. Click "Upcoming/Overdue Service"
Similar to before - the baseline filters are in place for the Expiry View. Click on Upcoming / Overdue Service from the Left Menu to continue.
23. Click Filter
In Upcoming / Overdue Services - similar to the previous views - the information provided is based on the active filters. Click on the filter in the toolbar to continue.
24. Click "Escalation List"
As you can see - the Upcoming / Overdue Service is utilising the Baseline Filters. Click on Escalation List from the Left Menu to continue.
25. Click Filter
Similar to the previous views - the Repairs in the Escalation List can be filtered down by the Active Filters applied. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
26. Click "Prestarts"
Similar to the previous views - the Escalation List utilises the Baseline Filters. Click on Prestarts from the Left Menu to continue.
27. Click Filter
The Prestarts in the current view are being filtered by equipment matching the active filters. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
28. Click "Service Forms"
As you can see the Prestarts View utilises the Baseline Filters. Click on Service Forms from the Left Menu to continue.
29. Click Filter
The Service Forms are being filtered down by Equipment matching the Active Filters. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
30. Click "Repairs"
The Service Forms View utilises the Baseline Filters. Click on Repairs from the Left Menu to continue.

The Repairs are being filtered based on Equipment matching the active filters. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
32. Click "NHVR Report"
Similar to the previous views - the Repairs View utilises the Baseline Filters. Click on NHVR Report from the Left Menu to continue.

The NHVR Report can be filtered down by the Active Filters applied. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
34. Click "Cost"
We can see that the NHVR Report is using the baseline filters. Additional to this - the report also utilises additional filters - some specific to this particular report so that we can have a consolidated filter view without the need to access and make changes to the Baseline Filters then to make changes to NHVR filters seperately. Click on Cost from the Left Menu to continue.
35. Click Filter
Similar to the previous views - the Cost View can be filtered down by the Active Filters applied. This will filter the information present in the Overview tab and also in the All and the No Daily Cost tabs. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
36. Click "Expense Report"
Similar to the previous views - the Cost View utilises the Baseline Filters. Click on Expense Report from the Left Menu to continue.
37. Click Filter
The Expense Report can be filtered down by the Active Filters applied. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
38. Click "Utilisation Report"
Similar to the NHVR Report - the Expense Report utilises the Baseline Filters alongside some Expense Report specific filters. Click on the Utilisation Report from the Left Menu to continue.
39. Click Filter
Similar to the previous views - the Utilisation Report can be filtered down by the Active Filters applied. Click on the Filter button in the toolbar to continue.
40. Click Filter
Similar to the NHVR Report and the Expense Report - the Utilisation Report leverages both the baseline filters and additional filters for the Expense Report.
