This guide will take you step-by-step through the process of setting up Awards & Allowances in Kynection. You'll learn how to establish day and project rates, customize shift options, and create allowances. Follow the clear and engaging instructions below for a smooth employee training journey.
1. Click HR
To begin, navigate to the HR section by clicking on it from the home dashboard.
2. Click "Settings"
Click on Settings
3. Click "EBA Settings"
Open the E.B.A settings section.
4. Day Rate
You can create multiple rates and add rate multipliers. For instance, you can set up rates such as double time, overtime, RDO accrual, and CMFEU Ward rates.
5. More Award Rates
Feel free to create additional awards whenever necessary.
6. Create Shifts
Next, proceed to create the award shifts.
7. Add Meal Break
Here, we begin building the shift by adding the start and end time. Then, we apply the rate we created earlier. Additionally, we can include a meal break and even assign a color to it.
8. Click "Day Settings"
Access the Day Settings menu.
9. Add Awards to each Day
Now, we can assign the shifts we've created to apply on each day. Please note that if you wish to switch between Awards (such as regular and CFMEU), you'll need to set up two separate Awards. Each Award applies to a 24-hour period and should not overlap, except for public holiday rates, which can be specific to certain days.
10. Click "Timesheet Approval"
Open the Timesheet Approval section.
11. Awards Are Applied to each Timesheet
Here, you can observe the awards applied to each employee's shifts. Each award can be assigned to individual projects, providing visibility of each award within every project. Once reviewed, simply click on the approval tab to seamlessly integrate this information into your accounting and finance package.
12. Click Allowances
Access the allowances section.
13. Create by Clicking +
Here, you have access to view all types of allowances categorized. Simply click on the plus symbol to create a new category.
14. Click Meal Allowances
Navigate to the meal allowances tab.
15. Click +
Click on the plus symbol to create a new meal allowance.
16. Fill The Fields & Create
Enter the details for the 2nd breakfast meal allowance I've set up, and then proceed to click on "Create."
17. Click on new Allowance
Access the 2nd breakfast meal allowance
18. Add More Restrictions
You can further customize this allowance by adding more restrictions. For example, you can specify which days this allowance is applicable, designate which other allowances can replace it on certain projects or days, set the quantity, determine if the allowance auto-applies after a certain number of hours, and much more.
19. Click "update"
Update the information accordingly.
