This tutorial will guide you through the steps of incorporating folders, subfolders, and files in KIM. Follow these steps to efficiently structure and manage your files and documents within the application. This proves particularly beneficial for organizing files, especially when the Knowledge Database is not available.
Go to kynection.upvise.com
1. Click "Files Folders"
To begin, navigate to the "Files Folders" tab from the home dashboard.
2. Click the + Symbol
Click on the plus symbol. This action will prompt a box to appear, which includes a text field for you to input the desired folder name. Enter the preferred name for the folder and click OK to confirm. The folder will then be visible in the list.
3. Click "New Sub Folder"
To create a new subfolder within a primary folder, start by clicking on the main folder. Inside the main folder, click on the plus symbol, and then choose the "New Subfolder" option.
4. Click "Test / Test Sub Folder"
After adding the subfolder, its name will be displayed next to the main folder.
5. Click the three dots icon
Furthermore, next to the options for adding new folders and subfolders, you can access a list of actions by clicking on the three dots. The available actions include delete, print, and refresh.
6. Edit pencil to edit and checkmark to confirm
Clicking the edit pencil icon enables you to edit the name, icon, and owner of the files or folder.
7. Relocation icon
You also have the option to relocate the files and folders; simply select the folder with the plus symbol to the desired destination.
8. Upload Icon
To upload a file or folder, click on the plus symbol.
9. Click "Upload File"
You have the ability to upload a file, including the option to upload a floor plan from a PDF. For this example, we will proceed with uploading a file.
10. Click "Test File.docx"
Once uploaded, the file will be visible in the list.
11. To Download
To download the document you've uploaded, click on the cloud icon with the down arrow.
